PUBLIC NOTICE: MUNICIPAL PLAN AMENDMENT 704-24-03 AND ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT 1350-24-07

In accordance with Section 111 of the Community Planning Act, SNB 2017, c.19 and amendments thereto, PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that Sussex intends to consider an amendment to the Zoning By-law and Municipal Plan to permit multiple main buildings on a single lot in certain multi-unit residential and commercial zones subject to rezoning.

The Public Presentation to Council will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Sussex Town hall.

The Planning Advisory Committee Meeting will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Sussex Town Hall.

The Hearing of Objections will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Sussex Town Hall.

Written feedback, including objections or comments, on the proposed amendment for the Hearing of Objections should be forwarded to the undersigned no later than February 12, 2026.

PUBLIC NOTICE – Sussex Municipal Plan By-Law Amendment, By-Law 704-24-01

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Sussex Council enacted a Municipal Plan Amendment, By-Law 704-24-01 on September 15, 2025, in conjunction with Zoning By-Law amendment, By-Law 1350-24-02.

In accordance with the Community Planning Act, SNB 2017, c 19, Ministerial approval was given to By-law 704-24-01 on October 30, 2025.

By-law 704-24-01 was filed in the Kings County Registry Office as Document #46726874 on November 28, 2025.

PUBLIC NOTICE – Summary Reading of Proposed By-law 139-24


Sussex Council intends to read a summary of the proposed By-Law To Amend Schedule “A” of By-law 37-99 A By-law Respecting the Water Utility and Schedule A of By-law 18-A, A By-law Respecting the Sewer System, By-law 139-24 rather than reading the by-law in its entirety.

The purpose of this by-law is to provide for water and sanitary sewer rates and storm sewer and standard charges in the town of Sussex.

The proposed by-law may be examined at the office of the Clerk between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Town Office, located at 524 Main Street, Sussex NB.

The sections of the by-law are:
