Public Notice – Proposed Council Remuneration By-law, By-law #204-21


The Town of Sussex intends to read a summary of the proposed Council Members Remuneration By-law, By-law #204-21 rather than reading the by-law in its entirety. The purpose of this by-law is to establish the salaries for the Mayor and Members of Council of the Town of Sussex.

The proposed by-law may be examined at the office of the Clerk between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Town Office, located at 524 Main Street, Sussex NB.

Public Notice – Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, By-law #1350-10-38

The Town of Sussex proposes to amend its Zoning By-law, By-law #1350-10 by changing the designation of the land bearing PID #30022370 and having civic address of 270 St George Street from a Single and Two Family Residential including Six-Family Residential (R3) Zone to Business Residential (BR) Zone permitting a Health Service Business or Office together with Twelve (12) units of apartment dwellings with terms and conditions.

The proposed By-law Amendment may be inspected by interested citizens during working hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Town Office, 524 Main Street.

The Public Presentation of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment will be held at 22 Maple Avenue on Wednesday March 17, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

Written objections to the proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment may be made to the Town Council within thirty days of the day of the public presentation.

Council Meeting Postponed

The regular meeting of the Council of the Town of Sussex which was originally scheduled for February 16, 2021 has been postponed to February 17, 2021 at 7pm due to inclement weather.
