Notice – Proposed Municipal Plan By-law Amendment, By-law 704-20-03 and Zoning By-law Amendment, By-law 1350-21-06

Sussex intends to consider amending the Town of Sussex Municipal Plan By-law, By-law 704-20 and Zoning By-Law, By-law #1350-21.

The purpose of the proposed by-law amendments is to change the designation of a parcel of land bearing  P.I.D. #30132914 and having civic address 142 Park Street from One and Two-unit Residential (“R2”) zone to a General Commercial (“GC”) zone permitting a commercial development with terms and conditions.

The proposed by-law amendments may be inspected by interested citizens during the hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at Town Office, 524 Main Street, Sussex and are also available for download at the links below.

A Public Presentation of the proposed by-laws and rezoning application will be held in the Council Chambers of Sussex located at 524 Main Street on Thursday, May 16th, 2024 at 6:00pm.

Written objections to the proposed by-law amendment can be forwarded by email to tara.olesen@sussex.ca, by mail to Town Clerk, Sussex, 524 Main Street, Sussex NB, E4E 3E4 or delivered in person to the undersigned at 524 Main Street. Objections will be received until 5:00 PM on Monday, June 17th, 2024.

A Hearing of Objections will be held in the Council Chambers of Sussex located at 524 Main Street on Monday, June 17th, 2024, at 6:30 PM, to hear these written objections. Any persons wishing to speak for or against these written objections may do so at that time.
