Local government reform is well underway and the past few months have been busy ones for everyone involved in the process. Beginning January 1, 2023 New Brunswick will move from 340 entities to just 89 and, for now, our entity has been identified as entity 44. Our new community will consist of the former Town of Sussex, Village of Sussex Corner, and a small portion of the LSD of Sussex.
The Flood Mitigation Master Plan Task Force have now completed the refinement of options to address overland / surface water flooding, if and where possible, and have identified mitigation projects to reduce flood impacts for both communities, jointly.

The 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise’s) will be conducting training from August 15th until August 19th 2021. The training will mostly take place on DND property but local residents can expect to see uniformed troops in town.
