Atlantic Balloon Fiesta Traffic Notice

With the Atlantic Balloon Fiesta bringing lots of activity to Sussex, temporary traffic measures will be in place to help keep vehicles and pedestrians moving safely.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MEASURES:

Main Street: No street parking from approximately 551–609 Main Street and 600–624 Main Street on the opposite side. Please keep all barricaded areas clear for traffic and emergency access.

Leonard Drive: Traffic from Eveleigh Street and Rosemount Avenue onto Leonard Drive will be controlled by traffic-control personnel. Please follow all directions and signage.

Eveleigh Street: Eveleigh Street will be reduced to one lane to maintain a fire lane for emergency access.

Pedestrians: The Leonard Drive crosswalk between the skate park and Mrs. Dunster’s will be closed. Please use the staffed Perry Street/Leonard Drive crossing.

Watch for Balloon Chase Crews! Throughout the Fiesta, balloon chase crews will be travelling throughout Sussex and the surrounding area. Please stay alert, give chase vehicles room to safely travel and pull over, and be mindful of increased activity along local roads.
