Sussex Developer preps new commercial – retail complex with multifamily living project in Sussex.

Maritime Vision Properties is preparing to build a commercial facility integrated with a 37-unit apartment complex located at 221 Main Street in Sussex.

“Development costs will total approximately $8 million for this project”, said Durck deWinter, spokesperson of the Sussex-based Development Group. “Our group looks forward to this project in our hometown”.

The Town believes this project will assist in addressing the need for additional multifamily living units identified by area employers and the Multicultural Association of Sussex. This project will add to the new residential subdivision development undertaken in Sussex in 2021 and will assist the Town in achieving necessary housing alternatives as identified in the development of Sussex’s population growth strategy introducing new housing options identified during the public engagement process when the Town’s new municipal plan was introduced in the fall of 2020.
