The Canadian Army Reserve will be training in the Sussex area.

August 15th to 19th 2021 – Sussex, N.B and Mill Hill – Canadian Armed Forces

The 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise’s) will be conducting training from August 15th until August 19th 2021. The training will mostly take place on DND property but local residents can expect to see uniformed troops in town.

This training is a vital part of maintaining national readiness in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve. Residents may hear loud bangs day or night as the deployment of simulated munitions is a vital part of this training, however this aspect of training will only take place on DND property.

The Reserve Force is an integral component of the Canadian Armed Forces. Whether serving Canada overseas or assisting Canadians in case of an emergency or natural disaster, training events like this help build and enhance members’ skills so they can do their job effectively, at home or abroad.
