Proposed Municipal Plan By-law, By-law #704-20

The Council of the Town of Sussex has given public notice of the intention to enact a new Municipal Plan, By-law #704-20 in accordance with New Brunswick Community Planning Act, SNB 2017, c. 19 (the Act).

The public presentation of the proposed new Municipal Plan By-law #704-20 will take place at a special meeting of Town Council on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in the Council Chambers at Town Hall at 6:00 pm.

Reason for Change:
The Town’s existing Municipal Plan was enacted in 2011. The Act requires that Municipalities review and update their Municipal Plan every 10 years. Town Council has initiated this legislative review and will present the proposed changes to the public on February 12, 2020.

The public has 30 days from the date of the public presentation to submit written objections to the proposed by-law. The proposed new Municipal Plan document will be available for public inspection at the office of the Clerk of the Town of Sussex, 524 Main Street, Sussex NB between the hours of 8:30 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday or by visiting the Town of Sussex website at www.sussex.ca.

Written objections to the proposed new Municipal Plan document may be made to Town Council, in the care of the undersigned.

Town Council will review the written objections to the proposed new Municipal Plan at a Special Council Meeting on March 16th, 2020 at 6:30pm.
