2023 Annual  Watermain  &  Hydrant  Flushing

The annual Hydrant Flushing Program begins in Ward 1 the evening of April 30, 2023 for 17 consecutive evenings, finishing the morning of May 17, 2023. Flushing in Ward 2 to follow.

To help minimize the inconvenience the Works Department will conduct their annual Hydrant Flushing Program in the overnight hours – BETWEEN APPROXIMATELY 10:30 PM AND 5:00 AM DAILY.  The purpose of this Flushing Program is to ensure that the water quality is maintained in the distribution system and to ensure that the system’s isolation valves and fire hydrants are operating properly.  This may cause the water in your area to be discolored but only when the work is being carried out in your immediate area.  If discoloration continues, please contact the Town Office at (506) 432-4540.
