WATER & SEWER RATES
Residential property owners pay a flat rate for water and sewer service totalling $460 per year or $230 per bill cycle.
Metered property owners pay according to consumption on a quarterly basis.
TAX RATE
Sussex property owners pay a rate of $1.2430 per $100 of assessed property value.
SETTING 2026 RATES
Sussex Town Council sets the rates for property tax and water and sewer services during the municipal budget process.
BUDGET PROCESS
Each fall, Sussex Town Council begins the budget process by establishing priorities for the year ahead, informed by input from staff and the community. Meetings are open to the public and take place in Council Chambers at Sussex Town Hall.
Final budget deliberations and approval occure in November.
