What is built in Sussex today impacts the future of the town for generations. For that reason, all development is carefully considered for its alignment with more comprehensive town plans and goals.

The Town of Sussex coordinates, facilitates, and processes development applications for Municipal Plan Amendments, Rezoning, Zone Amendments, Subdivisions and Variances. These applications require Town Council and/or Planning Advisory Committee approval.

Any party considering the development of a parcel of land or redevelopment of existing buildings, should contact the Town Hall to determine compliance with the Municipal Plan, the Zoning By-Law, or any other applicable by-laws.
