Public Notice – Downtown Business Improvement Area Budget

The Town Clerk has received a proposed 2026 Budget for the Sussex Downtown Business Improvement Area. Revenue for the proposed budget will be raised by a 2026 special levy as outlined in the Business Improvement Areas Act.

The 2026 special levy to realize this budget is 18.0 cents per 100.00 dollars of assessment. Written objections from qualified objectors to this budget will be received in the office of the Town Clerk until the close of business day on the 23rd day of October, 2025. Written objections will be before the Town Council at a meeting of the Council to be held on the 27th day of October, 2025 at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers of Town Hall.
