Online Portal for Criminal Record Checks

The option to obtain online Name-based criminal record checks can now be requested and executed without having to leave home! By way of third party services available through the RCMP, there no longer has to be a delay in the Check process. Please note, this is for name-based criminal record checks only, and does not include vulnerable sector checks.

Name-based criminal record checks are the quickest and easiest way to determine if a person has a criminal record in Canada. These criminal record checks are performed using a person’s name and date of birth against the RCMP’s Canadian Police Information Centre system. The checks include a search of the National Repository of Criminal Records along with other national and local police databases.
