Expanding Winter Recreation in Sussex

Here’s a fun new way to enjoy Sussex this winter! A groomed looped trail has been added around the baseball fields, turning a space that’s usually quiet this time of year into an active, winter-friendly recreation spot. This initiative helps expand winter recreation options in Sussex and makes great use of community space year-round.

A few good things to know:

• The trail is intended for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and winter walks
• Longevity of the trail is weather-permitting
• Grooming will happen as conditions allow (mother nature is calling the shots.)
• Grooming will take place unless it could impact the ball fields underneath

Bundle up, grab your snowshoes or skis (or just your boots), and give it a try while winter is still hanging on!
