Looking for a great summer job? We’re looking for motivated students to join our team this summer! Apply now for one of our student summer positions and gain valuable work experience.

Deadline for Applications – March 31st, 2025. Submissions will be accepted after this date, however preference will be given to those submitted before this date.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, you must be a full-time student as of March 2025, which means:

  • Attending high school full-time, or
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary institution with at least four full-time courses.
    Returning to school in Fall 2025.
    At least 16 years old.

Available Positions:

Tourism Centre Supervisor – Community Services Department

  • Oversee daily operations at the municipal visitor information centre.
  • 40 hrs/week | May 8 – August 29, 2025 (Potential for additional fall hours)
  • Work Location: Tourism Centre (Comfort Station)

Tourism Centre Councilor – Community Services Department

  • Provide information to visitors and maintaining cleanliness of Comfort Station
  • 40 hrs/week | May 8 – August 29, 2025
  • Work Location: Tourism Centre (Comfort Station)

Labourer – Community Services Department

  • Maintain ball fields, trails, parks, playgrounds, and other outdoor spaces.
  • 40 hrs/week | May 8 – August 29, 2025
  • Work Location: 8th Hussars Sports Centre – Outside

Labourer – Works Department

  • Maintain lawns/turf and assist with general maintenance tasks.
  • 40 hrs/week | Start date: May 8 or June 27 – August 29, 2025
  • Work Location: Works Department – Outside

Engineering Assistant

  • Assist with mapping storm sewers, collecting field data, data entry, and surveying.
  • 40 hrs/week | May 8 – August 29, 2025
  • Work Location: Town Hall – Outside

  • Criminal Record Check: Required if you are offered a position.
  • Mandatory Training: All hired students must attend a training seminar before starting work.
  • Full Availability: These are full-summer positions – limited time off is available, and preference is given to applicants who can commit to the entire season.
  • Required Documents: Attach copies of any relevant qualifications to your application, or it will not be considered.
  • Selection Preferences: Candidates with related education, experience, or a strong past work record (including previous summer staff) may be given priority.
