Building the Future: The Final Placement of the Trout Creek Pedestrian Bridge

On March 22, 2024 during the final placement of the final span of the Trout Creek Pedestrian Bridge the Town placed a 2024 set of Canadian Coins under the bearing plate of the structural abutment. Mayor Thorne dedicated this Bridge;

“May this bridge be a source of hope and inspiration to all who labour for a better tomorrow.”

Generations from a better tomorrow may seek to recover this token as a gesture and piece of Sussex history. At a later date a dedication and opening will be planned for the general public.
