Sussex Youth Citizenship Award Nominations!

The Sussex Youth Citizenship Award honours young individuals who go above and beyond to improve the quality of life in the Sussex Region.
Nominations are welcomed from community organizations and citizens who wish to recognize a deserving youth making a meaningful impact in our Community.

Eligibility
The Youth Citizenship Award is open to youth, up to the age of 29 that are attending school.

Nominations Process
Individuals or organizations wishing to nominate a young person must complete the nomination form below, no later than March 6th. All nominations must be as part of a group and the person nominating can not be a direct relative of the youth they are nominating.

Selection Process
The selection of young people to receive the Youth Citizenship Award will be made by a Community Committee appointed by the community services department each year. Decisions will be based on information provided. Documentation will be kept confidential and used only to assist this Committee in reaching a fair decision. Nominations will be evaluated on the scope and impact of the contributions made.

Awards Ceremony
In April of each year, Council will host an awards ceremony to honour the new Award recipient.
