Golden Jubilee Hall

This community building was constructed in 1997 with the generous donations and contributions of the Kiwanis Club of Sussex, Sussex Rotary Club, and citizen involvement to provide a facility to host a number of public and private functions including dinners, dances, and festivals. The hall is now the home of the Sussex & Area Senior's Centre who offer a variety of seniors programming as well as coordinating private facility rentals.

On October 12, 2002 Queen Elizabeth visited Princess Louise Park for an agricultural exhibition. While there, it was announced that the community hall would be renamed Golden Jubilee Hall in her honour.

Sussex Regional Library

Sussex Regional Library became a branch of the Fundy Library Region (formerly Saint John Library Region) on July 2, 1973. For 40 years prior to this the Women's Institute operated the library over the old fire hall.

As part of the Regional Library System, the Town of Sussex accepted responsibility for furnishing and maintaining the library building, the Province of New Brunswick provides staff and library materials; and the Library Region provides administrative services.

In 1997, through community effort, a new modern facility was built on Magnolia Avenue.
