A. The by-law is titled Town of Sussex Zoning By-law

B. The purpose of this by-law is to:

Divide the Town of Sussex into zones; prescribe, subject to the powers vested in the Council, the Planning Advisory Committee, and the Development Officer, the purposes for which land, buildings, and structures in any zone may be used and regulate the standards to which land use and the placement, erection, alteration, and use of buildings and structures shall conform; and prohibit the use, placement, erection, or alteration of land buildings, or structures other than in conformity with the purposes and regulated standards mentioned above.
