Job Description – Facilities Manager

The town of Sussex invites applications for the position of Facilities Manager.

Sussex requires a dynamic individual with demonstrated high standards of interpersonal and customer service.

Desirable education, abilities and skills include graduation from an accredited architectural or civil engineering program of an accredited Community College including training in building asset management, facilities maintenance and energy efficiencies. Qualified applicants with equivalent work experience in building maintenance will also be considered. The successful applicant must demonstrate the ability to establish, develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program on a variety of different building assets owned and operated by Sussex. This position will assist Sussex’s senior management team as well as working and interacting with other town employees, government employees and elected officials as required.

Preference will be given to those with training and experience in an accredited community college program proficient in building and asset management.
