Taxicab Owners and Operators License
In order to regulate the owners and operators of taxicabs within the Town of Sussex and according to By-Law #1050-09 Taxicab Owners and Taxicab Operators By-law, licenses are required for all taxicab operators and taxicab owners operating within the boundaries of the Town of Sussex. These licenses are required to be renewed annually.
Application for license can be made at the R.C.M.P Station at 43 Leonard Drive in Sussex from the Officer in Chief.
Renewal of License can be made at the Town Office at 524 Main Street in Sussex.
Fees for Taxicab Owners are oultined in Schedule C of By-law # 1050-09, Taxicab Owners and Taxicab Operators By-law and are as follows:
Taxicab Owners who are residents of the Town of Sussex
$45 per year for the first vehicle
$30 per year for each additional vehicle.
Taxicab Owners who are not residents of the Town of Sussex
$60 per year for the first vehicle
$45 per year for each additional vehicle
Taxicab Operators who are residents of the Town of Sussex
$25 per year
Taxicab Opeators who are not residents of the Town of Sussex
$35 per year
PLEASE NOTE: REPLACEMENT BADGES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE TOWN OFFICE. A FEE OF $10 WILL BE CHARGED FOR ISSUANCE OF A REPLACEMENT BADGE.
