Did You Know That:
According to By-law # 250-04, A By-Law Respecting Animal Control, an "animal" is defined to mean a domestic animal and includes both cats and dogs.
Owners of cats and dogs must register their pets with the Town and pay a license fee on or before December 31st every year. Owners must make sure that registered dogs and cats have thier licenses on their collar in order to ensures that if your pet is lost, it can be returned to you and the public can easily identify that your dog has been protected against rabies.
Licenses can be obtained in person at the Town Office at 524 Main Street in Sussex. Please bring your pet's immunization record with proof of rabies vacination with you.

Spayed or Neutered Cat $ 6.00/cat
Not Spayed or Not Neutered Cat $ 12.00/cat
Replacement Tag Fee:
